[GEL NAILS] Rose Quartz and Serenity Marble Nail Art

I'm so in love with the Pantone colors this year. I've gotten so many sweaters and dresses in both rose quartz and serenity - just look at the knit I'm wearing in these photos :p

Marble designs are so easy to do with gel polishes so they have been my go to for a simple manicure. I decided to bling out my accent finger as usual!

I will also be making an attempt to try and film a gel nail tutorial! I feel like there isn't too many around on YouTube for English viewers. I'll keep everyone posted if I do manage to film something :p

[OUTFIT] Little Red Beret

Outfit Details - Trinity Styles || Denim Jacket || Bag || Beret

The weather is finally warming up here in Vancouver! I've been dying to wear some spring pieces. I love sweater weather but it's been too long since I left the house without putting on a pair of leggings or tights beneath my dresses/skirts! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen the eye catching red beret in a few snaps along with the super cute kitty cat bag. I'm quite the hat person :p

[FAVOURITES] Skin Friendly Cleansers

For the AM: I use a very mild cleanser in the morning. The Toleriane Dermo Cleanser from La Roche-Posay is a milky cleanser with a minimal list of ingredients. Fragrance and preservative free. Leaves your skin feeling very soft. You won't get that "squeaky clean" feeling from this (which isn't needed for the AM anyway!) I actually bought this for make up removal when my skin was very sensitive but I find that it's a bit too gentle to remove anything besides tinted moisturizer.

For makeup removal: Innisfree's Apple Juicy Cleansing Oil smells like apple candy and I love it! It's a very thick oil that massages into your skin and melts away your make up. When I'm lazy, I use this to remove my eye make up altogether. It gets rid of waterproof eyeliner/mascara with no problem. Doesn't irritate my eyes either so this gets thumbs up from me!

For regular cleansing/double cleansing: I follow up with a foam cleanser after removing make up at night. My fave by far is the  Lotus Micro Mild Foam by Mamonde. If my skin is feeling extra icky in the morning I use this as well. I squeeze a bit onto a foam maker (similar here) to get the cotton candy like foam. This gets rid of any dirt/make up residue on your skin very well without stripping all the oils away. It leaves your skin feeling clean and refreshed but not tight or dry at all. Love love love this!

[NAILS] Crystal Clusters

Since I got my hands on a new builder gel, I'm finally able to put crystal clusters on my nails! I used a variety of point back crystals I've been saving up and made the blue 'crystal' out of a 3d nail deco mold. I can't find the exact same one online, but you can find similar molds at Bornprettystore here.

As usual, I got lazy for the other hand and just stuck on a pre-made deco piece for the thumb (find similar one here)

[HAUL] Sheet Mask Galore - Aritaum + T & T

My sheet mask stash was running pretty low - probably because it's been a while since I visited Asia! I dropped by Aritaum and T&T to pick up a few new ones to try out this week.

From Aritaum:
- Mamonde's floral sheet masks in Peach Blossom (Shiny Hydrating) and Jasmine (Oasis Water - assuming this means hydration?!) $2.50/each
I love the fit of Mamonde's floral sheet masks. I can literally do a full work out and it would stay put. I've tried the rose and rose+strawberry ones and loved them. Can't wait to see how these two work out to be!
- Aritaum Bio Cellulose Mask in moisturizing $3.50/each
- Aritaum Cel : Cushion Mask in soothing $3.50/each

From T&T:
- Neogence Collagen Plumping Mask $10.99/box of 10
- Spa Made Firming/Anti-Aging Mask $6.99/box of 2
Gotta admit I bought this because of the packaging. I'm a sucker for stuff like this.

I'll try to report back on how these work out for my skin after I've tried some of them out. The weekend is coming up and so are weekend spa sessions!

Happy Friday everyone :)

[REVIEW] Beautylabo Bubble Dye in Milky Beige

This is a long over due post! I experimented with Beautylabo's bubble dye sometime last December. My experience with bubble dyes have never been good but I got super lazy to go to my stylist and decided to give them a go again. I picked up this Beautylabo bubble dye in Milky Beige. I wasn't expecting anything close to the package model to begin with...

**I have extremely thick hair - and this is mostly why bubble dyes don't work out for me because it's hard to cover everything evenly**

Before photos:

Uneven and faded color from another previous bubble dye (why do I keep doing this to myself?)
 Indoor washroom lighting

Pretty self explanatory instructions. Pour the liquid into the package bottle then add in the liquid. Shake 30 times and you have foam! Rub it all over errrrrvywhere on your hair. Wait for 30-45 minutes and rinse.

And the result...
Same washroom lighting
 Natural window lighting

It looks better than before but the color is still uneven. As for the color, it's a nice medium brown which would be great if it was actually evenly distributed. But that's mostly my problem since I have the equivalent of a lion's mane growing on my head :\ ...the roots lifted quite well and almost a little too good because they were slightly lighter than the rest of my hair!

Hope this is helpful to anyone that's looking to get this dye! I got mine from my local TnT supermarket but you can also get it on eBay !
