[REVIEW] Shills Intensive Diamond Lip Repairing Balm

By Kristine Lam - February 18, 2012

Being the sucker for cute packaging that I am...this lip balm caught my eye right away because of its resemblance to Jill Stuart's Lip Balm. You can see how I left my finger print in the photo above hah >_> sorry guys.

Anything with bling and pink -> I am sold.

I bought this at Sasa online for $7.10 USD. Reasonable I guess?

Their description:
Shills Intensive Diamomd Shine Lip Repairing Balm can be used anytime, anywhere. It makes lips delicate and elastic. It smooths lines of lips and reduces their colour difference. And it leaves lips as plump and smooth-skinned as jelly.

  • 【Castor Oil, Jojoba Oil】moisturizes.
  • 【Camauba Wax, Beeswax】soften and moisturize skin.
  • 【Shea Butter】moisturizes, locks moisture and repairs.
  • 【Vitamin E】gives anti-oxidizing effect.

  1. Apply a thick layer to the lips.
  2. Leave on for 5 minutes.
  3. Use a sponge to take some lukewarm water to wipe off dead skin cells of lips.
This has a light berry scent to it which I don't mind. It's quite pleasant actually. I applied it with a lip brush since my nails get in the way. I left it on for 5 minutes before washing it off with a mini sponge. I didn't notice any dead skin coming off. Maybe because my lips were in an okay condition prior to applying it?

I don't think there is an actually a need to wash it off after 5 minutes, as it is keeps your lips moisturized upon application anyway. I compared it to their Diamomd Shine Lip Repairing Balm
The ingredients are essentially the same, but for that one it says you may apply it anytime. I think I'll just be using this like a normal lip balm anyway :)

Packaging - 5/5
Price - 5/5, its quite a tiny container (4g) though.
Effectiveness - 4.5/5, doesn't exactly does what it claims for me but moisturizes well anyway
