[REVIEW] Sephora by O.P.I Gelshine - Seeing Pink Elephants
So I'm pretty sure I said I'd wait til I finish my current gel polishes...but being a gel lover like meh.......I just couldn't wait to try sephora's gel collection out ;; heh
I picked a vibrant pink - "Seeing Pink Elephants" (oh OPI names...) to try out!
I won't go too much into the whole process unless someone is actually interested in a full depth tutorial on soak off gels D:
The application process took around an hour including all nail prep. I used the IBD base on one hand and nailene base on the other just to see how they compare. The IBD clear builder gel should hold out longer than the nailene, I'm guessing!
This is after just one coat of the Sephora OPI gel. Its pretty opaque with just one coat but some parts are still slightly sheer so I added a second coat.
One thing to note about this gel polish is that it takes a longer curing time. This is probably because of the colour and dense pigment. I cured it for 1.5 + 1.5 mins.
*I was using a UV lamp instead of the LED curing lamp that comes with their package
And tada ~ the end result is a high gloss finish that won't chip or peel for 2-3 weeks!
One bottle costs $21.00 + tax, so it is pretty pricey but the quality is very nice - well worth it.
Can't wait til they release more colors for the collection!
