I've been wanting a brown liner for quite a while now but I didn't want to splurge on another bobbi brown/mac! The Maybelline eyestudio liner was on sale a few weeks back so I picked it up in brown. I had used the same liner in black before and loved it as well.
It comes in a glass pot just like high end gel liners from mac/bobbi brown. Glass pots are better than plastic because they keep the liner "fresh" for much longer. The packaging is slightly different then the black one I had previously. This now has a black plastic top as opposed to a metal screw on cap (below)
Ever since I opened this, I've been using it every day in place of my typical black liner. It gives a much more natural finish.
I don't remember exactly how much I got this for but it was on sale so I'm assuming somewhere around $8-9!
This gel liner is pretty smudge proof and I don't get panda eyes at the end of the day from it. I actually think it is pretty up to par with the mac/bobbi brown ones. The texture is smooth and glides on nicely.
If you compare this to the bobbi brown, it does rub off easier on the hand but you wouldn't be rubbing your eyes like that during the day anyway! Another plus is that it comes with a nice brush if you don't already have a liner brush.
This is a great choice to start off with if you've never used gel liners before. Very affordable and the brush they include is wonderful for beginners.
