[NAILS] Nails Inc Gel Effect Polish - Kensington High Street
I know spring is around the corner, but I couldn't resist this beautiful vampy shade! I wanted to try the gel effect line from Nails Inc for quite a while. However it's price tag kept me away ($17 cad + tax from Sephora)
I decided to splurge on this because I was feeling quite blue a week ago :'( and it didn't disappoint! Maybe even lifted my mood a little - just a little.
As the product title suggests, this polish is supposed to give you the look of glossy and full gel nails without the hassle of using a UV lamp. Two coats gives you an opaque finish and it really does achieve a glass finish without a topcoat - just look at the photo below!
The brush is flat + square which I love. The bristles are a little stiff but works great nonetheless.
The formula not only gives high shine but evens out knicks in your nail bed for a flawless finish. Remember, all this WITHOUT top coat!
As for lasting power - I started off with Sephora's formula X base coat and topped it off with a sasatinnie gel top coat for fun (you really don't need a top coat for this :p). This manicure lasted a good 4-5 days with very minor chipping and minimal tip wear. Not too bad but I expected a little more.
