Favourite Concealers: Bobbi Brown / Estee Lauder / Maybelline / L'oreal

A good concealer(s) is so so so important to me. Most of the time I can get away with just leaving the house with sun screen and concealer on lazy days. If you're like me and don't like heavy foundation, you can use a light base (something like a tinted moisturizer/cc cream) and spot cover anything that peeps through :)

I suffer from pretty horrible allergies so most of my concealers are targeting dark circles.

1. Bobbi Brown Concealer Kit - Ivory + Pale Yellow Powder ($44 CAD)
This was a recent buy from my trip to Portland last month and I love this little baby. This duo contains their creamy concealer (color of your choice) and also a powder to set it with. Great coverage and works wonders under the eyes. My go-to when I'm really sleep deprived. Works well on dark spots too!

2. Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser for Dark Circles in Fair (~$10-13 CAD)
Another one of those must-buy recommendations from everyone but for a good reason! The sponge tip is extremely convenient (but slightly unhygienic - I try to clean the sponge every week) and makes application quick and easy. Not as much coverage as the Bobbi Brown but okay for when my sleep schedule is normal.

3. L'oreal Magic Lumi Highlighter/Brightener in Light/Pale (~$10-13 CAD)
The famous dupe for the YSL touche eclat. The coverage is quite light for this so it only brightens my under eyes slightly. I use this more as a highlighter for my nose than a concealer under eyes. The brush tip makes it super easy to sweep down the nose and even across your cheek bone/c area.

4. Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in Place Flawless Wear Concealer in Light 01 ($27 CAD)
My all-time favourite concealer (best for last!). Their double wear foundation is famous for lasting forever and this concealer is no different! Covers up scars, pigmentation and dark circles flawlessly. Set it with a powder and it will last the entire day no problemo.

Quick coverage demo:

Coverage from highest to lowest: Estee Lauder Double Wear > Bobbi Brown > Maybelline > L'oreal
Hope this was helpful to you if you're looking for a new concealer or thinking of getting any of these :)
