For base make up, Iope's Air Cushion XP has been my fave hands down. They were the first ones to come out with cushion make up and they definitely got it right! I'm using the shade N21 Ice Vanilla which has minimal to medium coverage (build-able). It comes in 4 different formulas: N(atural), C(over), I(ntense Cover), and M(atte). The Natural finish is a mixture between dewy and velvet - which is perfect all year round. SPF 50 for all the lazies who can't be bothered to apply sunscreen separately.
If you like having natural looking long lashes, Innisfree's Skinny Microcara (Waterproof) is the one to go for. This features an ultra-skinny brush which saves you from getting mascara all over your lids - specially useful for lower lashes! This holds curl for my stick straight lashes all day long with no problem. There is no smudging or budging with this mascara either!
Continuing on with eye make up, Stilla's Stay All Day Waterproof Eyeliner really does stay all day for me! This is probably the only liquid eyeliner that doesn't smudge for me. I have somewhat oily lids and even the Kat Von D does not cut it for me. The only thing I don't like about this is that it's a felt tip and not brush tip - but the long lasting factor has won me over completely. I use this daily in Dark Brown for a natural look.
Highlighting my inner corner/aegyol sal is a must for my eye make up. Aritaum's Shine Fix Eyes is the one for the job. My fave shade is #22 Cinnamon Rose. It's a bronze-y pressed glitter which is super sparkly! I dab this on the middle of my lids as a highlight as well. It's a mix between a cream and powder which makes it very long lasting.
Impulse buys are always a hit or a miss. The Nature Republic's Glow Oil Tint in Baby Peach was definitely a hit for me! It's a super moisturizing oil-essence lip tint that doesn't dry your lips out at all. When swatched, it appears to be a sheer oil but slowly turns into a beautiful coral shade. The shine fades after a few hours but you're left with a beautiful peachy tint.
Lastly, a brush favourite! I'm not really a make up brush person - I usually apply everything with just my finger tips. However, I was in the market for a powder brush since I don't actually own one. This Powder Brush from Rodial* is everything you can ask for in one: soft, huge and fluffy! The quality of the bristles are amazing.
And that is the end of my mid year make up favourites! What are some of your make up favourites so far this year?
